Kagame win Rwanda presidential election by far – partial results show

Rwanda President Paul Kagame don dey road to increase im 24 year rule by anoda five years on top im landslide victory, as dem don count most of di votes for di Monday election.

E don get 99.15% of di vote so far. Dis na di partial results wey di electoral commission show, wey be 79% of ballots count.

Im two opponents share less than 1% of vote.

Oga Kagame thank Rwandans for dia trust wen e tok for im Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) party headquarters.

Oga Kagame tok say, “dis no be just numbers, even if na 100%, no be just numbers. Dem show di trust and na im important pass.”

Im opponents – environmentalist Frank Habineza and journalist and author Philippe Mpayimana – get 0.53% and 0.32% respectively.

Di full provisional results go drop by 20 July while di final ones go land by 27 July.

Di 66 year old leader no even get any strong opposition as di leading figures dey banned.

Elections for 27 special seats wey dem keep for women, young pipo and pipo wey get disabilities go happun for Tuesday.

Oga Kagame don be di de-facto leader of Rwanda since di end of di 1994 genocide and don be president since 2000.

Rights groups don accuse am say e dey hold back freedoms since im enta office, but im supporters dey say e don preside ova economic growth and help to end ethnic divisions.
