For one statement wey e issue, e say “Di National Working Committee (NWC) of di PDP don extensively consider di series of complaints raised against di Acting National Chairman, Amb Illiya Damagum and National Secretary, Sen Samuel Anyanwu particularly wit regard to di letter wey dem send go di Court of Appeal in Appeal No: CA/PH/307/2024 against di party position for di case wey involve di 27 former members of di Rivers State House of Assembly wey vacate dia seats upon decamping from di PDP to di All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Di NWC condemn dis anti-party activity of di acting National Chairman and di National Secretary wey be gross violation of di provisions of di PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017) and dia Oath of Office.”

“Consequently, di NWC, pursuant to Sections 57, 58 and 59 of di PDP Constitution, don suspend Illiya Damagum and Sen. Samuel Anyanwu as Acting National Chairman and National Secretary of the Party respectively and refer dem to di National Disciplinary Committee for further action.
