Di Senior Prophet ofChrist Mercyland Deliverance Ministries, Jeremiah Fufeyin, say no be true say im ministry dey use di National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (Nafda) to deceive Nigerians.

For one statement e release on im social media accounts, Prophet Fufeyin say im ministry no dey use Nafdac number wey dey di spiritual products wey e dey sell to deceive di kontri pipo.

Dis dey come afta Nafdac bin alert Nigerians to di activities of di ministry wey dem say dey use di name of di agency deceive unsuspecting Nigerians.

Di Director General of Nafdac Mojisola Adeyeye for statement say di ministry wey Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin dey head, dey produce and sell illegal and unregistered “miracle” water and soap and warn kontri pipo to beware.

She add say Nafdac don seal di factory wey dey linked to di production as dem continue investigation, but add say di ministry don refuse to cooperate wit dia investigation.

“Di products wey include Miracle Water, River Jordan Water, Father Smelled Perfume, Water of Life, etc no dey registered wit Nafdac and dia production go against regulatory guidelines,” Nafdac tok for statement.

Weeks bifor di agency announce say dem dey investigate di senior pastor of Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, Jeremiah Fufeyin sake of di spiritual items wey e dey sell, some concerned Nigerians bin don write plenty petitions to di agency since di pastor openly tell im congregation say di products get Nafdac approval.

“Prophet Fufeyin don advertise dis spiritual products wey include Miracle Water and Miracle Soap for im church members and on social media wey e claim say get ability for healing and miracles. E even say di spiritual products dey heal barrenness. E claim say women go born twins if dem use di soap,” Nafdac tok.

Di agency say sake of di plenty petitions dem receive, dem visit di ministry to establish how true di claims be and take necessary regulatory action on di production facility for di Ministry wia dem dey produce di Miracle Water plus oda products.

Dem add say di Delta State Coordinator codedly buy di Miracle Water (25cl) for 3000 naira from di ministry to torchlight di mata well-well.

Nafdac say di ministry no gree cooperate wit dem to carry out dia investigation. Dem say di senior pastor no honour dia invitation or allow any investigation into im spiritual products and di wonder e dey perform.

“On 27th August 2024, a team of Investigation and Enforcement Nafdac and Federal Task Force on Counterfeit and Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods visit di ministry, to commence investigation on di place of purchase or di manufacturing site for possible sample collection, for laboratory analysis, but di officials no cooperate wit di team.

“We send letters of invitation give di officials to report on 28th August, but dem no honour am. Di company instead submit one legal document for Nafdac Headquarters Abuja on 28th August 2024 and say make we come back on di 3rd September 2024 to organise dia document bifor coming.

“Di Agency kon give di Prophet till 29th to report for investigation and Enforcement for NAFDAC Office Asaba for further necessary investigation but e still no still show up,” Nafdac tok.

Nafdac say dem still try to reach di ministry to continue dia investigation, instead di ministry ask for more time and send dem one document wey show say di faith-based organisation claim to enta production contract agreement wit one Globod Table Water for Delta State witout di knowledge of Nafdac State Office for di state.

Dis act dey illegal according to di extant rules and regulations on commercial production, di agency tok.

Dem add say dem don also shutdown Globod Table Water factory for aiding and abetting di production, sale and advertisement of “unregistered and unwholesome Miracle Water under di disguise of Fake NAFDAC Registration Number”.
