Di court temporarily block di replacement of Rigathi Gachagua until e hear di case on October 24 by a bench wey go dey appointed by di Chief Justice.

Mr Gachagua, through im lawyer, dey question why parliament dey hurry to replace am.

President William Ruto bin quickly nominate Interior Minister Professor Kithure Kindiki as di new deputy president, and 236 lawmakers approved am inside a roll-call vote.

Di law bin give di president 14 days to nominate a replacement and a further 60 days for a vote by lawmakers.

So far, four petitions don dey filed for court to stop Mr Gachagua replacement.
