On Wednesday 31 July, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, bin yarn say di federal goment don approve 50,000 naira monthly stipend to 10,000 Niger Delta youths for 12 months.

“Di scheme go also develop metrics for im impact on di economy of di Niger Delta region. Admission to di scheme go dey highly competitive and go dey driven by merit. Applicants go dey required to include personal statement for dia application to reflect dia commitment to meet di objectives of di programme and contribute to di socio-economic development of di region.”

Ogbuku observe say di scheme go empower di benefitting youths for areas of technology, music and arts, agriculture and marine, among odas.

E add say during di 12-month period of di internship, each intern go receive stipend of 50,000 naira per month.
