Di multi-award-winning actress act for several South African TV shows including Rhythm City, Zone 14 and most recently, Gomora.

Chiume be trained teacher but later become a household name on mainstream television.

She die for one Johannesburg hospital on Tuesday afternoon, one short family statement tok.

“The Chiume family regret to inform you of di passing of di internationally acclaimed award-winning actress Connie Chiume,” di statement tok.

Her most recent role na for Heart of the Hunter, wey dem release earlier dis year, and she also appear for TV series Soon Comes Night for February.

Chiume collect several awards, including one NTVA Avanti Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role inside Soul City for 2000.
