Dis dey come afta Justice Binta Nyako of di Federal High Court Abuja reject di application to transfer Nnamdi Kanu to house arrest.

Justice Nyako tok say she don rule on di same application several times and she no go change her ruling – di ruling be say di DSS custody remain di safest place wia di accused person go dey.

“Any attempt to file dis application again, I go find am as abuse of court process. Di only option open to di defence na to take di matter on appeal,” Nyako tok.

Also, on di issue of whether Kanu jump bail, Nyako tok say she bin don also rule say Kanu jump bail.

Di court say she bin don order say Kanu sureties go forfeit di bail bond wey dem bin agree.

“Di only reason wey make dem neva forfeit di bail bond na becos dem appeal di decision. So bringing dis application bifor me again no dey necessary.

‘If e happen again, I go hold am as abuse of court process.” she tok.

However, Justice Nyako order say Kanu lawyers go fit dey visit dia client for DSS custody three times a week instead of two times.

She also order di DSS to provide Kanu a “clean room” wia im and im lawyers go hold consultation witout any monitoring or recording.

Afta di ruling, counsel to di federal goment, Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN) tell court say dem dey ready to call dia first witness, but Aloy Ejimakor wey be counsel to Kanu, ask di court to grant dem adjournment so dem go take advantage of dis latest ruling to prepare dia client for trial.

Ejimakor try to insist say di condition of detention dey very oppressive for Kanu, but Justice Nyako tell am to go on appeal.

“We dey apply make our client dey transferred to home detention or house arrest,” Ejimakor bin beg di court dat day.

Di defence counsel make dis plea after Justice Nyako bin don refuse several times to transfer Kanu from DSS custody to Kuje correctional facility, as she tok say she no get confidence in di security of di facility.

E dey expected say Justice Nyako go rule on di application on whether to grant Kanu di house arrest wey im apply for.
