Di Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) bin carry Bobrisky go court ova case of money laundering and spraying of naira notes.
Bobrisky bin appear for court on Friday to face six count charges wey surround money laundering and di abuse of di naira plenti times.
Wen dem read di charges, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to di first four counts bordering on naira abuse.
According to di charges wey EFCC sama Bobrisky, dem say im tamper wit di sum of N400,000 wey im spray while im dey dance for one social event wey happun for Lekki area of Lagos on 24 March 2024.
Di prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo, SAN, wit seven oda lawyers also charge Bobrisky sake of say im tamper wit di sum of N50,000 wey im spray for Ikorodu between July and August 2023 wen im dey dance for one social event.
EFCC also accuse Bobrisky of spraying N20,000 for one event for Ikeja while dancing for December 2023 and anoda N20,000 for Victoria Island area of Lagos.
Di prosecutors say di offence of naira abuse wey Bobrisky commit dey against di Central Bank Act 2007 and e dey punishable under section 21(1).
Bifor dem read di charges for court, di EFCC’s counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, ask di court to strike out counts five and six bother on money laundering allegations.

So di arraignment of Bobrisky na only on counts one to four wey be di abuse of di naira.
Dem ask Bobrisky if e understand wetin dem charge am wit, and e reply: “Yes, I dey guilty.”
Bifor im conviction, Bobrisky plead wit di court say im no dey aware of di law on naira abuse.
Di judge den tell am say ignorance of di law no be excuse. And Bobrisky reply say, ”I know my lord.”
E also say, ”My lord I wish say you fit give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.
“I be social media influencer wit ova five million followers. I go do video on my page and I go educate pipo about spraying money.
“I no go repeat am again my lord, I regret my actions my lord.”
Wit di conviction, Bobrisky fit either serve six months for prison, pay a fine of N50,000 or do both.
Section 21 (1) of di CBN Act 2007 tok say “pesin wey tamper with a coin or note issued by di bank dey guilty of offence and gatz on conviction dey liable for imprisonment for a term not less dan six months or to a fine not less dan N50,000 or to both such fine and imprisonment.”
Im go still dey for EFCC custody and reappear for court on 9 April.
Bobrisky gbege wit money laundering
Bifor di EFCC strike counts five and six out, dem say Bobrisky dey trade but im no submit a declaration of di activities of im company.
For di number five and six count charges, EFCC say Bobrisky commit offence wey dey contrary to Section 6(1)(a), and Section 19(1) (f) of di Money Laundering (Prevention And Prohibition) Act and punishable under Section 19 (2) (b) of di same Act.
EFCC say Bobrisky get one company wey dem pay about N127.7 million inside and im no submit di activities to di Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering between September 2021 and April 2024.
For di last count charges wey EFCC sama am, Bobrisky no submit di declaration of di activities of im company wen anoda N53 million enta im account again.
