Justina and Martha Alafonye Animisa na two sisters wey wan join di Nigeria Police Force for di ongoing recruitment exercise into di constable rank.

Justina Alafonye Animisa tell BBC Pidgin say na her father dey inspire her to become policewoman as im be peacemaker for dia family and pipo dey respect am well well.

“My father na man wey pipo respect well-well and I like di way im dey do tins because im be peacemaker. Since wen I small, I get for mind say wen I grow up, I go join police like my papa and now I happy as I wan join now.”

She add say dem bin write JAMB but dem no get admission but dis opportunity to join police wit dia O’level certificate na one dem no wan miss.

But for Martha, di way jaguda boys dey worry pipo for dia Town for Asarama naim dey ginger her to join police.

“I believe say as Policewoman, I go fit arrest those boys wey dey disturb our village and wen pipo see me dem go respect me.”

On top di bad reputation police get, Justina say, “no be evri police bad. E get di ones wey good and dey work well and na dat one I go be too. And wit di way I go conduct mysef, pipo go like police.

Di Animisa sisters dem get di full support and encourage from dia parents to join police and dem gi be pplicewomen wit a difference.
